The PEER Strong Motion Database contains 1557 records from 143 earthquakes from tectonically active regions, processed by Dr. Walt Silva of Pacific Engineering using publicly available data from Federal, State, and private providers of strong motion data.
The Pacific Gas and Electric Company, the California Energy Commission, and the California Department of Transportation have sponsored the development of the strong motion database as part of the PEER Directed Studies program on lifelines. The National Information Service for Earthquake Engineering, sponsored by the National Science Foundation, is responsible for programming and distribution of the database.
The processing of the strong motion records in the PEER database is in general different than the processing done by the agency that collected the data. Although the processed records may be different, the differences should be small within the frequency passband common to both processing procedures.

The PEER NGA database is an update and extension to the PEER Strong Motion Database, first published on this web site in 1999. The NGA database includes a larger set of records, more extensive meta-data, and some corrections to information in the original database. At this time, the NGA site contains only acceleration time history files. (The original site includes velocity, displacement, and response spectra.) See the PEER Lifelines program for more information on the NGA project.

Dejo aquí link a: New PEER report (ATC-72-1): Modeling and Acceptance Criteria for Seismic Design and And Analysis of Tall Buildings

Description
These Guidelines for Performance-Based Seismic Design of Tall Buildings present a
recommended alternative to the prescriptive procedures for seismic design of buildings
contained in standards such as ASCE 7 and the International Building Code (IBC). They
are intended primarily for use by structural engineers and building officials engaged in
the seismic design and review of individual tall buildings. Properly executed, the
Guidelines are intended to result in buildings that are capable of achieving the seismic
performance objectives for Occupancy Category II buildings intended by ASCE 7.
Alternatively, individual users may adapt and modify these Guidelines to serve as the
basis for designs intended to achieve higher seismic performance objectives.
